This is one of the dive sites in Playa Grande. The descent line reaches a reef in 8m ideal for the safety stop. The lave flows continue down to the drop-off in 25m. Here you find a cave with a large orange coral hanging from the ceiling. From here we can either go left to the small caves with lots of encrusting anemones or to the right where we also have caves and lots of anemones with dancing shrimp. You often find big groupers and small island groupers that are very curious and approach the divers, as well as large schools of Bogues. You often see large pelagics in the blue and it is also common to find angel sharks and rays buried in the sand. **** |

Blue Hole. We jump off the harbour wall and follow the sandy slope down to the reef. On the way you frequently find lots of ropes were sea horses are hiding. We follow the reef along to where the blue hole commences. It's an amazing tunnel throught the reef that leads down and out the other side into the blue ocean. This dive is between 20-35 meters. **** |
